The message conveyed heartfelt sympathy to the affected families, those awaiting news of their missing loved ones, and people who have been displaced. It also recognised and praised the tireless efforts of Nepal’s security forces, volunteers, and local communities involved in rescue and relief operations.
Wyndham City Council also expressed serious concern over the 34 Australian citizens reported missing in Nepal as a result of the natural disaster.
Recalling the strong and friendly relationship between Godawari Municipality and Wyndham City Council, Mayor Shaw stated that the people of Wyndham stand with Godawari Municipality and the Nepali community during this difficult time.
