A delegation from Godawari Municipality, Lalitpur, led by Mayor Gajendra Maharjan and Deputy Mayor Muna Adhikari, paid a courtesy visit today to H.E. Simon Ernst, Ambassador of Australia to Nepal, at the Australian Embassy in Kathmandu.
During the meeting, discussions were held on further strengthening Nepal–Australia relations through cooperation between local governments and on making the Friendship City relationship between Godawari Municipality and Australia’s Wyndham City Council more effective and meaningful.
The discussions also focused on potential cooperation in trade and investment, education, tourism, environmental protection, technology, and innovation. The delegation also requested support and facilitation for technical cooperation in the proposed Smart City and environmentally friendly township project in Godawari.
