During the visit of Umesh Gupta, Executive Director of Industrial Enterprise Development Institute (IEDI), to Melbourne, discussions were held at RMIT University regarding the programs being implemented by this organization in Nepal and the possible collaboration with Australia in its programs and the process to be adopted for this.
In Nepal, especially among the youth, it provides various types of support to businesses that are trying to do business in a modern world with new ideas and new methods. It has supported about 800 businesses so far. It also has the possibility of supporting the Eco Valley Smart City Project to be built on 1,125 ropani (about 57 hectares) of land in Godavari, Nepal, in a joint effort of Godavari Municipality of Nepal and Wyndham City Council of Melbourne.
