The “Investment Strategic Development Exchange – Eco Smart City Township” program organized by the Eco Smart City Construction Committee, Godavari was successfully completed in The Baha, Lalitpur on Saturday.
The program was attended by a significant number of national and international investors, entrepreneurs, experts, social leaders and various stakeholders. The program was conducted by Program Coordinator and Chairman of the Diplomatic Session, Sameer Manandhar.
At the beginning of the program, Laxmi Bahadur Nagarkoti presented a modern, sustainable and technology-friendly urban development vision by screening a documentary on smart cities and presenting projects.
After that, Dan Ghising presented the concept of an integrated eco-friendly smart city and investment framework under the “Strategic Investment & Development Exchange” initiative. He also highlighted the potential of Nepal-Australia Friendship City Diplomacy, international cooperation, diplomatic partnerships and investment opportunities.
Mihajlo Makanovic presented on smart mobility and podway transport systems, providing insights into the integration of innovative urban transport solutions and smart infrastructure for future cities.
Gary de la Pomere shared his views on environmental sustainability, water resource management, and building safe and resilient smart cities. Similarly, Karma Bhumo highlighted the human-centric benefits of smart city initiatives by presenting inspiring stories of social impact and community transformation.
Desh Kumar Shrestha discussed the concept of eco-friendly housing and smart home, while Kamala Giri provided detailed information on investment opportunities and the role of the private sector in urban development. Engineer Umesh Gupta shared his views on industry development, entrepreneurship, and the economic potential of smart city projects.
Som Sapkota presented on investment opportunities through the NRNA network and global partnerships. Speaking as a special guest, Dr. Rajendra Giri expressed his belief that the Eco Smart City project will make a significant contribution to the sustainable urban development of Nepal.
The program concluded with an interactive discussion and question and answer session. The closing keynote address was given by John Whitney Whatnot, an expert on urban development and international partnerships in the United States. He emphasized the need for collaboration between the public and private sectors to promote sustainable development, green infrastructure, and international cooperation.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks. A networking and gala dinner was also organized for the participants.
